I hear through the grapevine that some officers in the Army are wondering, given President-elect Donald Trump’s coziness with Russian President Vladimir Putin, if they will be ordered to curtail their recent spate of exercises in former Warsaw Pact nations. Generals are trying to reassure them by saying there is no change in the mission — yet.
Damn, this is going to be a long transition. But a longer presidency — even if it collapses after two years.
