In a post earlier this week, I pointed out attempts to squelch release of the Da Vinci Code movie in the Philippines. Turns out that similar attacks against the film have been mounted in Korea, where a church organization filed a court injunction in hopes of stopping the film's release. This despite the fact that, according to a recent poll, only 9 percent of Korean Catholics support banning the film. Church leaders in Malaysia have taken a slightly more enlightened approach by organizing lectures and discussions to counter the "conspiracy theories" contained in the film.
