Job description
FOREIGN POLICY magazine, an award-winning four-color consumer magazine, seeks a detail-oriented, energetic, and creative intern to join its art and production department. This position is a great opportunity for aspiring graphic designers to get hands on experience in all facets of magazine design and production. Additional opportunities to work with advertising and web design also exist with this position.

Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to, photo researching and editing, creating page layouts, file management and archiving, assistance with file preparation for foreign and electronic editions and assisting with general office activities. The qualified intern must have knowledge of Quark, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Web design skills (Dreamweaver, html, etc) and an interest in global politics is a plus, but not necessary for this position. This is not an editorial internship.

Hours
Flexible, depending on your schedule. We ask that candidates be willing to come in a minimum of 15-20 hours per week and be prepared to work around publication deadlines.
