FP recently looked at six megacities and the problems that plague them: pollution, crime, flooding, sanitation. These issues will only be exacerbated as these cities grow, and the new UN Habitat report on the world’s slums drives this point home. In some African countries, nearly 100 percent of the urban population lives in slums.
