Foreign Policy magazine, the award-winning, Washington DC-based bimonthly covering global politics, economics, and ideas, seeks a staff editor to commission and edit feature essays and reviews, identify new authors and ideas, manage and edit sections of the magazine, contribute to the magazines web site and blog, and carry out additional editorial, promotional, and managerial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field, at least 5 years experience in journalism and editing, demonstrated interest and experience in international affairs, and superb editing, writing, and research skills. A strong background in economics and statistics and working knowledge of at least one foreign language is very helpful.
