Dena Yllescas’s account of losing her husband, an Army captain injured by an IED in Afghanistan in October who died of his wounds a few weeks ago, left me speechless. This is what sacrifice means on a daily basis. I am not sure why, but I was especially struck by her latest comment, just a quick note about putting their house up for sale.
