My book The Gamble, a kind of secret history of the last couple of years of the war in Iraq, comes out next week, so my book tour starts in a couple of days.
This Sunday, I'm scheduled to appear on Meet the Press.
I also think I'll be on Jon Stewart's The Daily Show next week, and probably NPR's Fresh Air and some other shows, but the timing depends on what my omniscient publicist (she is the boss of me these days) tells me to do.

Here are two talks-and-signings I’ll be doing this coming week:
New York City: Feb. 11, 7 pm, at Barnes and Noble at 82nd and Broadway.
Washington DC: Feb. 12, at 6 pm, at the Willard Hotel, sponsored by the little think tank that could, CNAS. NB: if you’re thinking of going to this, make sure to register — it is close to full.
More to come in the following weeks in DC, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Corte Madera, Sarasota, Portland, and Seattle. (Nothing scheduled for Boston — apparently they don’t buy books there anymore, unless they are about the Red Sox.)
I’ll be on the lookout at these signings for loyal readers wearing their Best Defense t-shirts and hats. (And don’t forget to visit our on-line Best Defense shop.)
