Now that his family has merged its radio network with Sirius, Andrew XM has had more time to think about policy, as well as his Italian supermodel girlfriend, and it shows. His new paper, written with three co-authors, recommends four major changes to help us get through the next 12 months of this war. Their call to curtail drone strikes in Pakistan has gotten the most attention, but I also am interested in the recommendation to transfer funding from the Pakistani military to the Pakistani police. My gut feeling: If you want to know where Obama policy will be in six months, read his CNAS paper now.
