Secretary Clinton meets with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Aug. 17 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington. During an hour-long talk, the two “compared notes” on efforts to resume negotiations on an Israel-Palestine peace. They also discussed the situations in Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, as well as human rights and democracy in Egypt.
