Israel’s strategic problem

I don’t understand Israel’s recent behavior. I think it has pretty much lost public support in Europe, and is beginning to lose public support in this country. I wonder if anyone egging on Netanyahu is really helping Israel. What am I missing? If you think you know, tell me. Please keep it civil.
