David Harland of New Zealand, the U.N.’s director Europe and Latin America division, is set to replace Anthony Banbury of the United States, another top official in the U.N.’s peacekeeping department, as Mulet’s deputy in Haiti. Kim Bolduc, a Canadian who is serving as the U.N. humanitarian coordinator in Haiti, is also expected to be replaced. Ross Mountain, another New Zealand national, has been mentioned as a possible replacement.
