A couple of readers have questioned why I am helping Iraqi refugees when, they say, we liberated their country and gave it to them, so why are they here?
A couple of readers have questioned why I am helping Iraqi refugees when, they say, we liberated their country and gave it to them, so why are they here?
The reason is that the war isn’t over and for many people, especially those who have helped Americans, living in Iraq isn’t safe. Many of those who left did so after having their houses bombed or losing a family member.
Bottom line: There are millions of Iraqi refugees. I am trying to support people who are helping a few.
