I have ordered myself off the air until Monday. By then I will have been spiritually cleansed and will emerge again ready to pass sweeping magisterial judgments, just like them anchormen.

In the meantime, I have authorized myself to release this moving statement: “I wish to thank all of you who have rallied to support me in this wrenching and difficult time. I have been overwhelmed and stunned by the extraordinary outreach of heartfelt support from my fans from every corner of the world. I also wish to apologize to those who experience anxiety about not being able to read new thoughts from me for five long days. I look forward to rejoining you next week after my self-suspension.”

Maybe I’ll use the time off to look into the Air Force’s “Alien Technology Exploitation Division” at Nellis AFB.
