This morning, the 2011 edition of Ten Stories You Missed went online. I'm really excited about this year's list, which includes India's less noticed military build-up, the expansion of Mexico's drug war into Central America, and a global shortage of camels, and the spread of maritime piracy into some unexpected regions.
In some ways, with headlines dominated by the Arab Spring, the European financial crisis, and the build-up to the U.S. presidential election, this was an easier year than normal to put together a list like this: Quite a bit was overlooked.
