In yesterday’s discussion of Leo Strauss, Huck took a pop at “armchair hoplites who cherrypick Thucydides.” What a great phrase! I hadn’t heard it before, but as soon as I saw it, it made sense to me. I am guessing he is talking about Victor Davis Hanson but I don’t know for sure.
