I just got a statement from the Pentagon that reports that Maj. Gen. Gregg Martin has “stepped aside” as president of NDU.
Here’s the whole statement:
“NDU STATEMENT:
On Monday, Army Maj. Gen. Gregg Martin stepped aside as President of National Defense University, a move approved by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey. Gen. Martin said he believed this was the right time for a new leader to guide the institution as NDU continued to prepare leaders for the challenges facing the U.S. Military. Martin will be re-assigned to the Army staff in Washington, D.C. and Ambassador Wanda L. Nesbitt, NDU’s Senior Vice President, will serve as interim President until a permanent replacement is identified.”
