In the meantime, here’s a nice Fido photo from the files. The dog in question is "Mike" of Parris Island. The people in the background are Marine recruits. For some reason they remind me of a neighbor of mine who served as an intelligence officer in an armored division (I think the 6th) in Europe during the war. He said his only fear about the war was that it would end before he could get into it. He went on to become the CEO of a Fortune 500 company.
