Depressing thought of week: Are our wars endless because they also are ownerless?

The other day I recorded a podcast with three smart people from Foreign Policy—David Rothkopf, Rosa Brooks and Kori Schake.

The other day I recorded a podcast with three smart people from Foreign Policy—David Rothkopf, Rosa Brooks and Kori Schake. We began by discussing who we wouldn’t want to dine with, and who we would. I said I wouldn’t with John Kerry. For who I would, I would have said Cate Blanchett but I blanked out on her name.

But that wasn’t the depressing thought. This was what I woke up thinking the next morning:  Are our wars endless because they also are ownerless, with everyone involved just rotating through?

Ugh. More to come in the podcast.
