In this week’s episode of The E.R., Foreign Policy’s managing editor for news, Yochi Dreazen, guest-hosts and is joined by Rosa Brooks and David Sanger of the New York Times to discuss, among other things, Sanger’s recent extensive interview with 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump. Which, of course, raises questions about Trump’s would-be foreign-policy ideas and how important the art of negotiation actually is to the presidency. And, at the end of the day, what’s wrong with Trump’s tactics of using economic pressure and various forms of negotiation to get America what it wants?
