Abdulhamid is a Syrian pro-democracy activist, an adjunct fellow at the Foundation
for Defense of Democracies, and the founder and director of the Tharwa
Foundation, a grassroots organization that seeks to end the Assad government's
information blockade and improve intercommunal dynamics in Syria. His
