Genevieve Bates is an assistant professor of political science at the University of British Columbia, where her research focuses on human rights, international law, and transitional justice in the United States and abroad. She has conducted extensive research on the Colombian conflict and subsequent peace process. Her work has been published in Perspectives on Politics.
