Melanne Verveer


Melanne Verveer is the executive director of the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security. She served as the first U.S. ambassador for global women’s issues and helped develop the U.S. National Action Plan on Women, Peace, and Security. She also served as the former special representative on gender issues for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe chairperson-in-office.
