Michael H. Fuchs is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress. From 2013 to 2016, he was the U.S. deputy assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs. He also served as a special assistant to former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
