Samuel P. Porter


Samuel P. Porter is a historian of modern Japan and modern Japanese military history. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his B.A. in Asian studies and Japanese from George Washington University. He recently served as an adjunct professor at George Washington University and is currently conducting research for a book on the Imperial Japanese Army’s intervention in China’s civil war after World War II.
