Zach Vertin


Zach Vertin is the author of A Rope from the Sky: The Making and Unmaking of the World's Newest State. He is a fellow at the Brookings Institution and its Doha Center, and a lecturer in public and international affairs at Princeton University. He previously worked in Sudan as a senior analyst for the International Crisis Group, and as director of policy for the U.S. special envoy to Sudan and South Sudan during the second Obama administration.
