Dr. Michael M. Crow is an educator, knowledge enterprise architect, science and technology policy scholar and higher education leader. He became the sixteenth president of Arizona State University in July 2002 and has spearheaded ASU’s rapid and groundbreaking transformative evolution into one of the world’s best public metropolitan research universities. As a model “New American University,” ASU simultaneously demonstrates comprehensive excellence, inclusivity representative of the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the United States, and consequential societal impact. Lauded as the ”#1 most innovative” school in the nation by U.S. News & World Report (2016-2020), ASU is a student-centric, technology-enabled university focused on complex global challenges related to sustainability, economic competitiveness, social embeddedness, entrepreneurship and global engagement. Under Dr, Crow’s leadership, ASU has established twenty-five new transdisciplinary schools, including the School of Earth and Space Exploration, the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the School of Human Evolution and Social Change, and launched trailblazing multidisciplinary initiatives including the Biodesign Institute, the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability, and important initiatives in the humanities and social sciences.

As a senior manager of Global Public Policy at Starbucks, Nadim Damluji creates policy and advocacy strategies on civil rights and human rights issues. At Starbucks, Nadim has led efforts such as creating a global commitment to gender pay equity, working with Arizona State University to reimagine social impact education, and partnering with former Attorney General Eric Holder to conduct a comprehensive Civil Rights Assessment of the company. Prior to joining Starbucks, Nadim worked as attorney focused on the financing and development of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law and graduated with honors from Whitman College.

Naruro Hassan is a Human Rights and Social Justice Speaker, Scholar, Writer, and Activist. Her activism and expertise are on Refugee activism. Within the framework of refugee activism, she is an advocate for women’s rights, black liberation, religious rights, African freedom, as well as the broader international struggle for justice and peace. She unapologetically identifies herself as Muslim, African, Black, Refugee Woman.

Sanda Ojiambo is the Executive Director of the United Nations Global Compact. Launched in July 2000, the United Nations Global Compact is the Secretary‑General’s strategic policy and advocacy initiative calling for the alignment of business operations and strategies with 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. It also motivates companies to integrate the SDGs into their core business strategies and operations. Ms. Ojiambo, brings 20 years of experience to lead the UN Global Compact. She has served as Head of Sustainable Business and Social Impact, Safaricom Plc, Kenya since 2010. Ms. Ojiambo was also the Senior Manager of Safaricom and MPESA Foundations, Kenya from 2008 to 2010, during which she led the implementation of several public-private partnership initiatives between Safaricom and UN organizations. Throughout her career, she has cultivated and managed relationships with key business entities and civil society organizations, including her capacity development work in Somalia with UNDP and CARE International. Ms. Ojiambo holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota, USA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Development from McGill University, Canada.

Peter Schlosser is the Vice President and Vice Provost of Global Futures where he also is the director of the Global Institute of Sustainability and Innovation, University Global Futures Professor in the Schools of Sustainability, Earth and Space Exploration, and Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University. Schlosser's research focuses on the hydrosphere, primarily the circulation of water in the oceans and the use of groundwater, climate change, and the future of our planet under increasing pressure from human activities. He is co-chair of the Earth League, Chair of the Steering Group of the International Study of Arctic Change, and member of the Boards of the Sustaining Arctic Observing Network and The Sustainability Consortium. He is a member of the German National Academy of Science, and Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the Explorers Club. He has serves on numerous national and international science steering and advisory committees.

Aulani Wilhelm brings to Conservation International more than 20 years of experience in natural resource management, primarily ocean conservation. She led the designation of what has become the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument and World Heritage site, one of the largest protected areas on Earth and first of its kind to honor indigenous relationships to the sea and the importance of global ocean heritage. Previously, she served as Director of Ocean Initiatives for NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries and was a 2014-15 Social innovation Fellow at Stanford University, focused on island-scaled social enterprise. She founded Island Water, a social venture to provide clean water and reduce plastic pollution on islands, and Big Ocean, a global network of marine protected areas spanning 10.5 million km2 of ocean. She is Chair of the IUCN-WCPA Large-Scale Marine Protected Area Task Force; and served as an advisor to UNESCO’s Marine World Heritage Programme. She holds an MS from Stanford University and a BA from the University of Southern California.

Julie Ann Wrigley has long been interested in conservation; she has wanted to do her part to ensure that future generations would have the same quality of life that her generation has enjoyed. That was her intention when she went to law school in the mid 1970’s. Today, as a successful businesswoman and philanthropist, she has found a way to give back—or, more accurately, to invest in the future. She believes that a confluence of factors will cause her investments to pay huge dividends. Wrigley serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wrigley Investments, LLC, President of the Julie Ann Wrigley Foundation, Manager of GlenNeva Land Holdings, LLC, GlenNeva Land Holdings II, LLC. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the E.W.Scripps Co., Associated Bank of Chicago, First Bank of Idaho, American Eagle Group, and Wyndham Foods. Among her philanthropic efforts, Wrigley is founder and co-chair with Rob Walton, chairman and retired CEO of Wal-Mart, of ASU’s Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability; a former board member and Chair Emeritus of the Peregrine Fund Inc.; a former member of the board of visitors for the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at her alma mater, Stanford University; former co-chair of the capital campaign for the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix; a former member of The Nature Conservancy Board of Governors; and was also a state Trustee for The Nature Conservancy in Idaho and Nevada. In addition, she has served on the Board of Trustees for the World Wildlife Fund and is currently on the National Council for WWF and has served on the Advisory Board for the Ray C. Anderson Foundation. Early in her business career she was Vice-Chair of Keep America Beautiful. She is co-founder with her late husband, of the University of Southern California’s Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies. In addition, Wrigley is a member of the Burns Family Foundation, which was founded by her grandfather and which she currently manages with her five sisters. Wrigley graduated from Stanford University with a degree in anthropology. She also earned a Juris doctorate, summa cum laude, from the University of Denver’s College of Law.

Ravi Agrawal is the editor in chief of Foreign Policy. Before joining FP, Agrawal worked at CNN for more than a decade, including his most recent position as the network’s New Delhi bureau chief and correspondent. Previously, he served as a senior producer in CNN’s New York and London bureaus, receiving a Peabody Award and three Emmy nominations for his work. Agrawal is the author of India Connected: How the Smartphone Is Transforming the World’s Largest Democracy. He is a graduate of Harvard University.

Previously New Zealand’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva and Prime Minister's Special Envoy, Ms Ellis played a key role in New Zealand's successful UN Security Council bid. She subsequently served as UNSC Co-Chair for Humanitarian Access into Syria. Prior to that, as Deputy Secretary in the NZ Foreign Ministry Ms Ellis was the first woman to lead the NZ Aid program.  Previous roles include Lead Specialist Poverty Reduction and Economic Management for the World Bank Group, Head of the Global Gender Group at the International Finance Corporation, and National Manager Women in Business at Westpac Banking Corporation. The author of two best-selling Random House books and five research titles on gender and growth in the World Bank Directions in Development series, Ms. Ellis is a founding member of the Financial Alliance for Women and the recipient of the TIAW Lifetime Achievement Award for services to women’s economic empowerment. Ms Ellis serves on a number of advisory boards, including the Global Governance Forum, the Institute for Climate and Peace, the International Leadership Association, the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, the East-West Center and Bishop Museum.
