We want to hear from you!

What: Foreign Policy, the magazine for global politics, economics, and ideas, is looking to expand its base of contributors who can write smart and insightful essays and produce original reporting on global affairs and national security. Join our editors for a virtual one-hour seminar on how to pitch argument and news pieces for publication online and in our print magazine.

FP deputy editor Kathryn Salam will walk participants through the pitching process and answer your questions on the types of articles we look for, how to craft the perfect pitch, and to whom you should reach out.

All participants will also receive a tip sheet on pitching best practices.

Who? The session is ideal for scholars, analysts, and current and former foreign policy and national security professionals looking to pitch op-eds and analytical articles on their areas of expertise as well as reporters looking to contribute on-the-ground dispatches from overseas. It is free of charge.

Where? Zoom.
