Breakdown of Global Data Localization Laws
Data localization laws are becoming increasingly common around the world, despite U.S. objections. Globally, 74 countries have a form of conditional restrictions on the transfer of data, and 18 countries have more stringent local, or local copy, or data localization laws covering different types of personal data, as of September 2021.
