Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-27: The Sukhoi Su-27, NATO codename “Flanker,” is a twin-engined air superiority fighter of legendary reputation, particularly for its trademark “Cobra” maneuver where the aircraft momentarily flies backwards. Still in production more than 30 years after first deliveries to the Soviet Air Forces began, the Su-27 is in service with a dozen air arms.
