Ryan Gingeras


Ryan Gingeras is a professor in the national security department at the Naval Postgraduate School and is an expert on Turkish, Balkan, and Middle Eastern history. He is the author of seven books, including the forthcoming Mafia: A Global History. His book Sorrowful Shores: Violence, Ethnicity, and the End of the Ottoman Empire received short-list distinctions for a Rothschild Book Prize and the British-Kuwait Friendship Society Book Prize.
