Tom Pepinsky

Thomas Pepinsky is Assistant Professor of Government at Cornell University, Associate Director of the Cornell Modern Indonesia Project, and President of the American Institute for Indonesian Studies. He is the author of Economic Crises and the Breakdown of Authoritarian Regimes: Indonesia and Malaysia in Comparative Perspective, co-author of the award-winning article "Testing Islam's Political Advantage: Evidence from Indonesia," and has published widely on comparative politics, international political economy, and Southeast Asian affairs.
