Shaharzad Akbar
Shaharzad Akbar is Rawadari’s executive director and the former chairperson for the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission. Akbar is also a visiting scholar at Wolfson College at the University of Oxford and an academy fellow with Chatham House. Her writing has appeared in the Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, Al Jazeera, and other international outlets.
