Many of the children are suffering a plethora of difficulties including vision and hearing problems with doctors now labeling the overall condition as "congenital Zika syndrome." Authorities have recorded thousands of cases in Brazil in which the mosquito-borne Zika virus may have led to microcephaly in infants. Microcephaly results in an abnormally small head in newborns and is associated with various disorders.
